> When you switch on your bathroom light late at night have it automatically come on at a dim setting. Then, when you switch it off, have it stay on an additional 30 seconds so that you can see your way back to bed. > When your teenager comes in late at night, have the LEDs on your bedroom light switch turn green so that you can glance over and know that they safely home. If they come in past their curfew have the system send them an email that tells them they're busted and the LEDs can turn red! > Control your lawn sprinkler system and then you can switch a zone on and off from the system remote when you are adjusting the spray heads. There is no more need to get soaked. > Problem sleeping? Well, make one of the music sources a sound soother, (white noise etc.), so it’s available in all the bedrooms. You can then sleep soundly through disturbing noises. > Going on vacation? Have a “Vacation” scene in which your lights follow a random pattern to make it appear that someone is home. > A repair man turns up to work on your house when you are at work. You can disarm your home remotely and then watch his activity on your security cameras before arming the system when he leaves. > Away from town when a storm hits. Use the remote camera access to view your home or dock for problems such as loose lines or flooding, and raise your boat-lifts if necessary. Do this from anywhere in the world that has internet access! > Still at your office when you hear that your grand-children will be coming over this evening. No problem, switch on your hot-tub or pool heater and the water will be hot when they arrive. |
